The elite of the cuisine

The Basque Culinary Centre integrates a Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences located in Donostia-San Sebastian attached to University of Mondragon and a Research and Innovation Centre in Food and Gastronomy. It is a pioneer centre that opened its classrooms in 2011.   The start-up of this culinary project started from several objectives. The first is the need to develop the potential of cuisine as a sector of innovation in the future, which also implies the generation of high-level knowledge and the training of qualified professionals. The second one would be the challenge of promoting research and the transfer of knowledge between professionals in the gastronomy and the business sectors.
